iThink #1 in Kharkiv

12 May 2017

New platform for communication of iOS-developers opened in Kharkiv with cool meetings and interesting reports. iThink became one of the few iOS-communities in the city.
Several Friday brainstorms, a series of Hackathons and workshops, as well as a trip to CocoaConf DC inspired our team to conduct this event. The topic of the first event included the most relevant development methods, technologies, and opportunities, which would be open to iOS developers in the future.

The iThink #1 was held in the large hall of Fabrika space, where more than 200 iOS developers gathered. Ilya Nezhelsky and Evgenia Bondar talked about how to simplify the configuration and project support, the use of configuration files, and gave advice on how to make the process of Xcode development more comfortable.

Vasily Sidnenko presented the second report of the event—“Guide to SQLite for the developer.” Vasily spoke to the participants about SQLite and detailed the optimization issue.

After another coffee break, Andrey Nesterofenko presented a mini-report— “Creating the right models.” He spoke about MIU (Model Improvement Utility), the plugin that was created by our iOS-team more than two years ago. Andrey talked about using this utility and shared the plans for its improvement.

The third speaker Alexey Nezhelsky talked about the Postman. He gave advice on its practical application and integration in the process of product development.

The speakers were happy with the active audience, and the authors of the most interesting questions received cool gifts.

Reporters were awarded Swift birds for useful reports and interesting presentations.

Swift Bird was a constant plush symbol of the iThink community, and we would hand it to each speaker. If you want to share your experience, write to us on Facebook, VK, Twitter, Meetup, or Suggest a topic on our website.
A big thank you to all of the participants of the iThink #1 and see you at the second event!
